Open Hands plans to:

• Extend sponsorship of children in Primary schools and in Secondary school
• To build more wells – each to provide clean water to 2000 people
• To plant another plantation of 200 fruit trees
• To build a clinic and accommodation centre
• Continue to export, from UK, second-hand wheelchairs and mobility aids for repair and reuse as well as other general medical equipment.  Redundant equipment from UK health sites is very valuable to us.

We also plan to purchase our own land in the Gambia, build a purpose built centre for the needs of the people, be it medical, educational or emotional. Also, we aim to recruit a permanent medic so that all individual needs can be catered for, a friendly face with an answer to a problem, a shoulder to cry on when times are hard and most importantly, open hands full of love.
